End of November
It was a lot of fun with my grandparents, by the way! They left yesterday. When they were here, we did some decorating for Christmas as well. The tree looks so pretty, and our Christmas lights in the front and back of our house are nice. :)
Yesterday I received a package. It was pretty big, and on it was a big sticker saying, "CONTAINS CHOCOLATE". Can you even imagine the excitement I felt then? WOW... It was an advent calendar (you know, the things that help you count down to Christmas with chocolate...). I've gotten two, so that's two pieces a day....and 24 in each advent calendar....that's 48 chocolates! KEWL...
I heard it's supposed to snow tomorrow. Christmas is just around the corner!

Back from all the Craziness!
I had that IMEA concert this past weekend. (You know, the concert where they gather 200 or something of the best singers in the state that auditioned?) It was SO fun. Everyone was INCREDIBLE. It sounded like a choir of adults, it was that fantastic. I had so much fun!
Oh, and make sure you honor those who have served for us. Veteran's Day is a very important holiday, so be sure to stop and think about it.
Everything seems to be updated....thanks for visiting! Again, I apologize for that long period of time of no updates! A new poll, quote, and riddle are posted. If you want results from the last poll, view the post below this one.
Favorite Season Poll Results
It was asking what your favorite season was. 2 said Summer and 1 said Fall. I personally like either Fall or Spring, mainly because I like weather that's not too extreme. I also like breezy weather, too.
Thanks for voting, even if it was just a small group of you guys. The new poll is posted along with a new quote and riddle. (Giving you a break with a riddles...the last few have been challenging!!! This new riddle is a pretty well-known one. It seems to show up in a lot of the joke books.)

Halloween
I ended up getting 147 pieces of candy, a glowstick, 2 vampire teeth, and 5 plastic spiders.
We have neighbor's that do a haunted house in their garage, and each year it's incredible! Went through that this year...
That's pretty much it. :))) HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

My Guinea Pig
My guinea pig, Cinnamon died this morning. I found out today after I got home from school. We buried her in the garden. I'm so depressed, but I know she's moved on to a better place.
As you may know, she had a blog. Her blog will still be going on. From now on, they will be poems about life and what a blessing it is. Life truly is a blessing, and I have enjoyed 6 wonderful years with Cinnamon. She was such a great piggy. I love her. ♥

Brian Regan
So, my post right below this one was about what I did in the past week since I haven't posted in a while.
Well, I was just reminded my someone who posted a comment that there is something major that I missed. (I knew I was forgetting to mention SOMETHING...) This same person who left the comment was there with me...and this is it:
I SAW BRIAN REGAN IN CONCERT!!! (How could I have forgotten the funniest man alive?) Brian Regan is the best comedian ever, and I saw his concert on Friday. I've mentioned him in another post called "Tickets!" I think.
For those of you who don't know, Brian is a clean, friendly, HILARIOUS comedian. I highly suggest you check him out. He's sooo funny!
So, that was probably the highlight of my week. (So amazing that I forgot to mention it in the post before this one!) I had so much fun at his concert! Thanks, everyone who went with us (had a great time) and a special thanks to BRIAN REGAN!!!!!!!!!
WOW!
I haven't posted anything since the 18th! WOW!
A lot has happened in the past week. (I've got a lot of things to catch up on, huh?)
So...the school play was on Wednesday morning for 6th graders and Thursday night for parents and students. It went great! I think I had the most fun performing on Thursday...mainly because the lighting was even better and there wasn't as much talking in the audience...I don't know. Both performances were great.
And the next day was the school dance...when I paid for my ticket, the lady was like, "You were great last night." (Dance ticket ladies go to school plays???)
The dance was fun. It was a Halloween dance, so I wore my costume from last year which is some sort of fancy witch...that's not going to be my costume this year...This year I think I'm gonna be a muffin (still in the process of being made...even though I haven't started yet. Better get a move on, I suppose).
Yesterday, I went to a Halloween festival where there was a haunted hay ride and an awesome haunted house. This isn't some lame, kiddy haunted house...you actually travel through a maze in the dark where there are creepy rooms you come across, and there are people in amazing costumes at the end of corners in the maze that turn on a flashlight towards their face at the last moment and SSSCCRREEEAAMM!!!! It takes you about ten minutes to get out!
Also, yesterday I helped out at a Senior Home. That was really cool. It feels so nice to help the elderly. :)))
So, that's what's been goin' on that you've missed. There is a new poll, riddle, and quote...so just keep lookin' over at the left side of the screen.

YES!!!! I MADE IT INTO IMEA!!! I am one of the 200 or 250 kids or something that was chosen as one of the best singers in the state! I'm so excited!
So, practicing will start tomorrow, and I'll practice every Tuesday and Thursday mornings...and then there is a huge musical festival on November 6th that I get to take a bus to! Soooo happy! My face lit up when I recieved the letter that said "Congratulations for making it into IMEA!"

And...PLEASE vote on the poll off to the left...PLEASE check out the riddle which is also off to the left...and be sure to check out important dates of October which are also off to the left...!!) :)))
The Pond in Which I Fell
So, I went to a camp site with other kids in my grade from my church for a retreat as a part of confirmation. We slept in a nice cabin that had bunk beds, a piano, and a cafeteria right upstairs.
Anyway, the next day, after doing a lot of community service, we all walked into the woods to a pond that had a rope bridge going across. I was not expecting the rope bridge to look like a tightrope like from a circus or whatever. I was thinking it was going to be truly a real bridge except made rope instead of wood. But no. It was basically a tightrope with two ropes higher up to grab on to.
I kept chickening out. Should I...or shouldn't I...??? I finally got the courage to walk across. It wasn't so bad at first...but as I got closer to the middle, it wobbled more. And of course, I got stuck beind this kid named Drake who was probably born naturally clumsy. He lost his balance, and the rope twisted, so I was literally laying horizontally on one of the ropes.
So, he finally lets go...but the rope acted like a rubber band and flung me into the pond like a catapult...I WOULD'VE STILL BEEN HOLDIN' ON IF IT WEREN'T FOR DRAKE!!! LOL

IMEA Auditions
Anyway, it was much easier than I thought...I was taken into 3 rooms...one was for testing my vocal warm-ups, and the other two were for singing the songs. It was a one on one kinda thing in each room.
It took probably 5 minutes. Easy. I find out tomorrow if I made it or not. Tomorrow is a half-day at school, so if I find out I made it into IMEA, I'm gonna be having a REALLY good day! :)))

IMEA
I've been practicing before school, during my lunch break, and during some of my choir class. It's a big deal, and I really hope I make it! My audition time tomorrow is 3:24pm...which is a bit of a dilemma considering I have to be at some sort of a retreat for church at 9:00am tomorrow until Sunday afternoon...so there's going to be a lot of driving back and forth going on...
I just really hope I make it...WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!
TV Poll Results
I've actually been on TV before...I was on TV when I was a baby once! I was on the news (no I did not rob a bank at the age of 1...or any other time :)). They had asked people to send in their baby's pictures if it was their first birthday that day, so my parents sent in my picture because I was turning one! All I remember is being in my dad's arms watching a bunch of baby pictures go by on the TV...

The Wall

For those of you who don't know, "The Wall" has its own story. Roger Waters plays the songs and it goes along with videos that are projected on a huge white brick wall.
During one point of the show there were fireworks shooting out from the stage which was so cool! Now, I have to say it was kinda hard to follow, because I don't really know the music too well, so I don't know the story all that much. This is probably why I thought most of the story was a little bit strange. It's hard to figure things out when you're sitting there watching a bunch of walking hammers and mosquitoes on the wall with a bunch of music. :)
There was an inflatable pig they released from behind the stage...I knew that was going to happen because the pig is the most famous part of the whole concert. Let me just say, he's so cool! Here's a picture of the pig... he wasn't the cutest little guy if you know what I mean...

So Sorry!
Anyway, please look at the poll, the new quote of the week, and the new riddle because now that I am posting again, I have updated everything! Try to guess the riddle while you're at it...don't just look at it... :)
Please keep coming back to Ally's Perspective! And remember to be clickin' around! (By the way, Happy Elephant Appreciation Day!)

9/11
I'm not really sure how to start this post. I shouldn't make it sound happy, and I want to grip your attention and be sure to remember the loved ones lost. I guess I'll just see how this works out.
On 9/11/2001, everyone thought it was an accident for the first time when they saw some sort of a flying vehicle crashing into the buildings. But once that second plane went through the buildings, that's when everyone knew we were under attack; that's when the worst day of the 21st Century was born.
I just want to say that my heart goes out to all of those who have lost loved ones in the crash of the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001. This is a day of remembering them, and being grateful for not being someone who was in the building when it happened.
Prayers are being said, flags are being half raised, and moments of silences are being created. We are America. We are one, and those who were killed are worth being remembered.

2 PARTS IN THE PLAY!
My first part is the narrator, so I get to narrate a whole story...Little Miss Muffet, I think. My second part is a dwarf! I don't get this at all because the play I'm in as a dwarf is Little Red Riding Hood. Last time I checked, there was not a dwarf in Little Red Riding Hood. But, I'll see how it goes. Rehearsal's tomorrow.
I think two parts is the most someone can get. The reason is you need some time to change costumes. See, I don't have a part in the second play, just the first and third so I can have enough time to change outfits.
I'm really excited. I'm going to be staying after school everyday for about an hour. The play is the day right before the Brian Regan concert we got tickets to--whew! Barely made it! Can't wait!!!!
Favorite Meal Poll Results
Anyway, those were the results for the question, "What's your favorite meal of the day?" out of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I would have chosen lunch because I believe lunch has the widest variety of food choices. I suppose dinner's like that too, but I get to MAKE my own lunch so I can have whatever I want!
Stay tuned for the new poll, and don't forget to guess the answer to the riddle!!!! :))))))

Birthday Party & Play Try-Outs
Friday was a busy day. Went to a b-day party on Friday and had play try-outs.
At the party: Ate pizza, talked, ate cake, and watched a movie. The cake was so cute, too. It was white with edible polka dots...and inside: Vanilla Mousse with caramel! Yum!
We watched Camp Rock 2. It was alright...
It was a sleepover party, but I couldn't stay overnight because of the dog. Stupid allergies... :(
But it was fun! Happy Birthday, Jenna!
Friday was also the day of play auditions. I read some lines on the stage, and afterwards, they called some people up to do improv. I was in the improv! I had to pretend I was a passenger on a plane that was moving around as turbulation freaked me out...I pretended to sob like crazy and acted like it was the end of my life...everyone was laughing!
Can't wait for Tuesday...that's when I find out if I got a part in the Fall Play or not...WISH ME LUCK!!!!

Saving a Baby Cardinal
First, let me just say, my mom and I have been saving quite a few animals lately. Like that turtle I had told you about in an earlier post... Well, yesterday, we saved a baby cardinal!
We were getting out of the car in a parking lot, and we saw a mama cardinal feeding a baby. The mom flew away to find more food, and the baby bird was left there. He was getting pretty close to the road.
So after we ran the errand, we came out to the parking lot again and saw the baby bird IN THE ROAD.
We ran over to save him! I grabbed a stick and tried to make him jump onto it, but that wasn't working. We kept trying to save him, but he kept inching closer to the middle of the road...and cars were driving by! We guided him to the side, and in the process, a car started to stop. I looked at the car, and in it was my science teacher from last year, waving to me!
Somehow we got the baby bird into the grass where I was about two inches from stepping on another baby bird! I didn't see him right away! Luckily I didn't smash him...Anyway, as we were about to drive away, the baby that had been in the road was heading towards the road again! We did the same thing, said a prayer, and drove away, feeling great that we saved him!
The two baby birds we saw were way to young to be out of the nest. They still had bald spots under their feathers! But they were SO cute... Here is EXACTLY what he looked like:
SO CUTE!!!

Back to School
My first day of school was this past Wednesday, the 25th. All my teachers are great--again!
So, today was my second day, and I felt that I needed to blog a little. Please keep in mind that I might be posting a little less during the week now that school has started up for me. Please forgive me. :)
My first day started off with my bus in the morning zooming past me and the kids at the stop. So we had to run and try to catch up to it. He finally opened the doors for us when we were out of breath.
Lunch was a little chaotic because the sixth graders didn't know their ID numbers, so they couldn't get money out of their lunch account. It took a while for them to figure out what their number was, so all three lunch hours were expanded, and my Choir class and Gym class were cut a little short.
By the way, my history teacher's HILARIOUS! I know I'm going to have fun in there...
At the end of the first day, I almost missed my bus because all the bus schedules are so confusing on the first day. It was like that last year, too.
But, today was normal. Looks like I'm off to a great start!

Catching Up on Things
I should probably start out by saying that I found my iPod on Wednesday. It had been gone for over a week. I guess I was wrong when I said I brought it in the house when we got back from Florida...Because, where was it? In the car, wedged far back into my mom's seat.
My mom had saw a glimse of it when she was getting stuff out of the back seat on Wednesday. Well, it was so far back, it was extrememly hard to possibly get it out of there. So, we tried putting the seat back, and that didn't work. Then we put it back up and spread the seat's fabric apart. I finally had to pull it out gently so it wouldn't break. And...success! It died as soon as I turned it on. At least I have it now!
Next thing that happened: Got invited to a party Wednesday as well. Swam, ate pizza, talked, compared school schedules, and watched a movie outside--Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. I might have seen that movie before...like when I was really little...but I didn't remember too much. Just one scene. Anyway, the party was a lot of fun! Did I mention I got bit by misquitoes like crazy? I had--no joke--twenty bites going up ONE arm. And tons on my ankles, my back, and one on my forehead. Yikes.
So, I'm just catching up on things here. A friend is coming over today. I haven't seen her in a while. Mainly because of vacations we've been on and things like that. I just feel really busy. :) I'm glad summer allows me to do that one thing I love. In fact, it's in my "Interests" on my profile--relaxing. :)

How to Save a Life
This song NEVER gets old...
I might be posting songs stuck in my head every now and then...lol! Check all of 'em out on iTunes...
iPod Gone for GOOD?
The last time I used it was our car ride back from Florida. I know for a fact I had it when we got home, and I noticed it was gone about two days after we returned. So it has to be in the house somewhere.
Now, here's the weird part. I've found my head phones for it... But no iPod...
I can't go this long without music, so I've been listening to music through the computer downstairs.
And now I feel like I'm going crazy! How is it possible I could lose something like this for so long! I've even had dreams that I've found it!
MY GOSH! SOS! WHERE...IS...MY...IIIIPPPOOOODDD?!?!?!?!

A Cove of Paradise...
It was fun...and the pool was just amazing. There was a wave pool, a lazy river, and some waterslides. And that night, we went shopping. New pj's and jewelry! For dinner--Uno's Pizza!
The room was great...but you could hear tons of little kids running down the hallways screaming! I woke up a few times around 2:00am because of all the running!
In the morning we visited her work place (a spa) and the fitness club, and went to this breakfast place. The food was insane--my pancakes were bigger than a baseball glove!
Afterwards, we went to her place where she gave me a facial in her spa room... SO relaxing... and that night we had Mexican food. Had so much fun, and it went by too fast!
(By the way, I'm changing the poll. People either don't know what to put or don't like it. One comment said they would choose neither, so I'm going to change it without further notice and won't have results posted. Make sure you vote...anyone can vote! Also, check out the riddle. No one got the last one for the first time ever...so I posted the answer and a new riddle!)

Got to go the eye doctor this morning...TTES (Talk to everyone soon)!
Florida
Anyway, Florida was a lot of fun. It was great to see family.
We stayed in a rented house that was HUGE. It was incredible - the pool was big, there were balconies you could walk out onto from your bedroom, and there was a nice and cozy lounge upstairs right outside the bedroom I slept in.
We went to Universal Studios for one day, and Disney World for two days.
In Disney World we went to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood studios which was where I rode my absolute favorite ride in the history of all rides I've ever ridden in my LIFE. It's called...(drumroll please)...The Tower of TERROR! It's when you ride an elevator that plunges 13 floors! (You get that stomach in your mouth feeling.) It's all part of the whole Twilight Zone theme. I screamed my HEAD OFF! It was so cool. You wait in line in this run down hotel, and it was just great... You'd have to be there to experience the greatness, the pnenomenon, and most importantly, the TERROR.
Everything was just magnificent...and believe me (not making this up), I will ride ANYTHING.
It took us two days to get home just like it did to get there because we drove to Florida. It took about 20 hours both ways, so we decided to split that into two days.
It was so much fun in Florida, but it was also good to be home. :)

Well, I will be posting a new poll soon. It will be different than all of my polls so far. You'll see! Stay tuned!

The Babysitter Returns
You know how I babysitted those three kids I told you about in an earlier post? Well, I babysitted them again Wednesday night at their house because my mom was going there for a party, and the host wanted me to watch her kids.
To refresh your memory, the kids' names were Mia (6), Joseph (6), and Jake (8).
When I got there, it was just Mia and Joseph. Jake was at a friend's house. Mia and Joseph (Mia calls him "Jo-Jo") took me down into the basement. I had brought a game, some movies, and Go Fish (because every kid knows how to play Go Fish). We did that for a while, and then another party guest arrived with her son, Aidin, who is also five I believe. So I watched him, too.
I asked the three kids if they wanted to watch a movie. After everyone said "yes," I asked them which one they wanted to see. Incredibles, Ice Age 3, or Robots. Mia wanted to see Ice Age 3, and Joseph and Aidin wanted to see Robots. They kept shouting about which one they wanted to see, so I finally said "Whoever wants to see Ice Age, raise their hand." Mia and Joseph raised their hands.
I said to Joseph, "I thought you wanted to see Robots," and then he said, "I changed my mind." Then I took another vote asking who wanted to see Ice Age 3, and then only Mia raised her hand. Joseph apparently changed his mind again.
So I finally decided to flip a coin (well, we flipped a remote, because we couldn't find a coin). We ended up seeing Ice Age 3. Mia talked through some of the movie, and told me some interesting things. I didn't mind. It was fun to be with them. Jake arrived towards the end of the movie from his friends house, so at one point, I was babysitting four kids. Three six year olds, and one eight year old.
My mom and I got home at about 10:45 pm. I babysitted for three hours!
But, I'm excited because I'm getting paid today, so...yayy!

Smallest Teddy Bear
The smallest one is only 99mm long. That's not even a centimeter! Think about it. That must mean the teddy bear is this long: ______ Probably even a little smaller!
I thought this was a pretty cool picture, so here's the deal. I'm going to have it saved as a feature off to the side just like I do with the world's smallest horse. It will probably be under the horse. Just scroll down to see it!
Try snuggling with a teddy bear that small...I'd be afraid I would inhale it!

LONG Night...
We slept outside in a tent, and all we had under us was a tarp and some blankets, so I was sore in the morning from the hard ground. We couldn't go inside to sleep because they have two dogs, and I'm allergic.
Anyway, I was tired, and when I wanted to sleep, I couldn't because they were too loud. Then, they wanted to go swimming at 1:30 in the morning! (The friend who hosted the party jumped in the pool with her pj's on!) They kept asking me if I wanted to swim (but I was too tired because there was a long party I went to right before the sleepover party, and I had done lots of swimming).
I think I fell asleep after they started swimming, and I woke up to them screaming and singing really loud. Then, THEY HAD A TOMATO FIGHT!!!!! They were throwing onions and tomatoes at each other when I was trying to sleep. I kept waking up from them.
I finally went to sleep, and everyone woke up at 5:30. Then we went back to sleep and woke up at 7:30. Everyone was extremely tired, except for me...I slept the longest. But it was a long night...it was buggy and windy outside, and the ground was hard to sleep on.
Then we had donuts for breakfast.
After that, they started to swim, I wanted to but my mom said she was picking me up at 9:30 and wanted me to be ready. But then I couldn't stand it anymore, because she was late...and I thought I would have enough time to swim...so I jumped right in the pool with my pj's!
Five minutes later, my mom arrived, and when she asked me what happened, I said I had a sweating problem. (I told her I was kidding...) :)
What a long night it was...Phew...
BTW, a new riddle is up!!!! Do you know the answer???

Field Trip to Paris...In the Desert.
It was the first day of Seventh Grade, and I kept getting lost. I was losing track of all my folders and classes. (The school was built out of bolders) The next thing I knew, the teacher announced we were going on a field trip to Paris. I went on a plane with the rest of the seventh graders. The teacher was the pilot, and he kept making stops because he was hungry for cookies or something. We made it to Paris in about 20 minutes. (Very realistic, huh?)
We got out, and for some reason we landed in someone's backyard. People were in the yard dangling from swings on their swing set. The swings were rotating around trees. Then, out of nowhere, the teacher (the pilot) asked for me and three of my friends to come with him. We ended up riding on a boat...in the desert. Yes, that's right. The desert of Paris.
A jumping cactus (there really is such thing...it's called a Jumping Choya that shoots needles if you get too close) shot needles at me in my back. The teacher was a wreckless boat driver!
Then I woke up right as the boat stopped in front of the White House.
It kinda gets me wondering what the heck happened to me thoughout the day that made me dream this!
P.S. HOW DO YOU RIDE A BOAT IN THE DESERT????
P.P.S. A new poll is up...VOTE!!!! :)

SmorgShow Podcast Commercial
Anyway, it's on a website called "Music Alley."
Click on the link to listen to it: http://www.musicalley.com/music/listeners/podshow_details.php?ShowHash=ae8a8fc6194e109b7dba73efa879b10d
To listen to it, click on the little play button that's marked "Play Promo."
(Heads up...it's a little cheesy.)
P.S. Here the little trumpet tune in the background? I played that on my piano keyboard! It sounds like clown music!
P.P.S. You'll hear someone laughing hysterically towards the very end in the background. It's me!
Balloons Poll Results
If you held on to a bunch of helium balloons that took you right off your feet, would you... Keep Holding on OR Let go?
7 people voted. 4 for Keep Holding on, and 3 for Let go
I think this was a harder one. I might have let go before I went too high because if I held on, I'd be traveling to space before I knew it!
Also, sorry this poll went on for a long time. There were some technical difficulties (again), so I made sure I gave it enough time.
Check back for the next poll!

Success!
Anyway, I have been working on one for a while, and I just finished about twenty minutes ago! Yay! I can't wait for everyone to read it. I have had a few people read the prologue, and everyone has said it's really good and they want to read more. Can't wait!
I feel so good...all though part of me is sad because I feel like I'm going to miss the characters.
But the most important thing is that it's done! Success!
P.S. Happy late birthday, Victoria! (It was yesterday...)

Tickets!

He is the best comedian ever because he's family appropriate, and his humor is something everyone can relate to that's based on everyday things. (Picture of him attached above.)
We got great tickets! We're in the fifth row. However, last time we saw him, we were front row and brought some signs that said "We ♥ You Brian." He saw them and thanked us! He's so nice!
(By the way, a new riddle is up, so be sure to check it out. Do you know the answer???)

Nice Weather FINALLY!
Sure. There's nice breezy 70 degree weather when I'm in 115 degree weather in AZ, but as soon as I get back, it's hot and humid.
Well, today it's finally gorgeous outside! Plus, one of my friends invited me to go swimming today and to hang out at her place this afternoon. So, I get to enjoy it today!
(Applause)
So, here's my statement I'll be using today: Ahhh...nice weather...FINALLY!

Turtle Rescue (Part 2)
We did some more research on snapping turtles, and found out something. What my mom did yesterday was extremely dangerous! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!!
We found out that snapping turtles have flexible necks that are capable of twisting back behind their shell so they can bite the handler. Also, their jaws are powerful enough to amputate a finger! Snapping turtles kick their legs so they can dislodge the handler's hands and drop the turtle. Their nails are sharp enough to cause serious lacerations. When they want to bite, they open their mouth and make a hissing noise. He did that to me when I got too close, but he (thankfully) did not bite. The turtle yesterday was kicking his legs to make my mom drop him, and his nails were scratching my mom. However, his nails were dull and were probably not capable of hurting her.
We sure did get lucky! My mom is saying she thinks it's a good idea that we read this AFTER we saved the turtle...what do you think? I think the prayer we said beforehand made a difference.
I'm just so thankful nothing happened to my mom AND that we saved the turtle's life! Boy, was my mom brave!
Also, I think when the turtle's leathery back legs were walking, it made it look like he was wearing pants! LOL
Here are some pics of snapping turtles I found on the web. Now you can see what we were dealing with!

Turtle Rescue
So, she got home, and we hopped on our bikes to head over to where the turtle was. But when we reached the spot, he wasn't there! We got off our bikes and went up and down the side of the road to try to see if we could find him. He was no where in sight!
So, just as we were about to give up and head home, my mom suddenly cries out, "There he is!" I turned to my right and saw a big black shell with arms, legs, and a head poking out. The turtle was in a ditch on the opposite side of the road--the side with no water...we knew if we didn't do anything, we wouldn't get to water and would probably die. We had to do something!
Neither me or my mom had the guts to pick him up...we were scared he would bite (he had a long neck!). Finally, after praying for courage, my mom picked him up as I made sure the road was clear. Once he opened his mouth and revealed his tongue towards me...yikes!
We crossed the street to carry him to the pond. After setting him down, what does he do? He starts heading towards the road again!
We finally had to move him again because he was headed towards a pile of bricks he started to climb on...if we hadn't picked him up right then, he would have fallen three feet off the bricks! This time, my mom carried him to the edge of a different pond, and he hopped right in and swam away!
When we got home, my mom researched what kind of turtle he was. She thought she knew the answer, but she wanted to double check. He was a snapping turtle...Good thing he didn't bite!
Anyway, my mom and I saved the turtle's life...it's a turtle rescue!!!

Pizza Poll Results
For my recent poll, cheese won with 6 votes, crust had 4 votes, additional toppings had 2 votes, and sauce had NONE!
I think sauce is the best part, and I can't believe it didn't get a single vote! (The sauce brings out the flavor...)
Anyway, thanks for voting... A new poll should be up shortly, so check back soon!

A Note from Webmaster Ally
Sunday, June 27, 2010
Wet, Muddy, Drenched...Hey, that was FUN!
So, after an hour-long drive, we arrived to the state park. We went under HUGE waterfalls, waded in waist-deep muddy water...(We didn't see the mud in the water, we just FELT it...Ugh.) But as gross as it sounds, it was SO much fun!!!
The last waterfall we went to was probably the best one that day. It was beautiful! It was a big waterfall with logs around it and rocks surrounding it. There were so many streams, and to go over to the waterfall, you had to walk on a ground of solid and smooth rock. But look out for Devil's Hole! There was a huge hole there about chin-deep (which is hard to tell that it's a hole) that my dad fell in one time. I jumped into it yesterday and swam as other kids were swimming around me and asking "How old are you? You don't look like it..." A little bit W-E-I-R-D...
Anyway, it was so fun!!! Thanks to my mom and Chris for such an AWESOME time! When I got home, I took a nice, warm shower...and ate a PB & J sandwich...:) What a great day (cuz I went to a fun birthday party just before that!)
By, the way...
Happy Birthday, Drake Bell! (Awesome music!...I love it!)
(Every time I hear her story, it just amazes me...)

Shop till You're Sick (Literally!)
It was so fun! We had pizza for lunch in the food court, and then we left my friend's mom to go do whatever we wanted and go to wherever we wanted to go. (I had my phone with me in case she needed to call us).
So, we were shopping probably for four hours and I only bought five things with money still leftover! I bought a shirt, some ice cream, some candy we all shared, a hamster toy (because it looked cool, okay? LOL), and a key chain that's a penguin with an afro (It's awesome!).
After eating our ice cream, we went on this spinny ride there. I think that was a pretty bad idea considering we had eaten about twenty minutes before then. As if that weren't enough, when we were in the car leaving the mall, one of my friends offered me a peach flavored jelly bean. It was awful!!! It tasted like rotted bacon, and it was only in my mouth for two seconds.
When I got home I couldn't even stand up I was feeling so nauseous. I finally just had to lay down on the couch and watch TV. I felt better after that. But now I have awesome stuff from the mall! It was fun!
Cute Animal Poll Results
Eight people voted for my recent poll, "What makes an animal cute? Small size or Irresistible looks?"
One vote for small size and seven votes for Irresistible Looks. I personally would have voted for Irresistible Looks. Yes, small size does help contribute to the cuteness factor, however, there could be a not very cute animal that is small. Even though it's small, that doesn't necessarily mean it's cute. I think if there were a huge animal with irresistible looks - actually no matter how big or small - it would be cute. So, that's what I would have voted for. (I didn't vote.)
Make sure you check back for my next poll and vote! And don't forget to try to solve the riddle off to the side!

Father's Day
My dad just got finished opening his cards and his gift. When he read mine he said, "Awww. So many nice words," and he hugged me. He loved my mom's card, too. I gave him another card that I made that said "Wanna See the Best Dad Ever?" and when you open it up, there's a mirror. Get it??? Ha, ha ha!
The gift my mom and I got him was a box with a piece of paper in it that says, "Something Fun that Suits You - COMING SOON June of 2010."
I'll explain. See, my mom and I found the perfect gift online for him (I won't say what it is in case he's reading this). Our timing was late, and it hasn't arrived from UPS yet. It should tomorrow, though. Hopefully. This way, Father's Day will be stretched another day!
My dad is VERY special to me, so he was worth celebrating today! I want the whole world to know that I love him!
By the way, last night we saw Toy Story 3. It was cute. Much more intense than the first two.
Well, that's all! Hope everyone has a great Father's Day! Make it your dad's best, and let him know you care about him and love him.

Time Machine Poll Results
Eight people voted for Past, three for Future.
I would have voted for past. I would be too scared to see my future, because what if something bad was going to happen in thirty years? I would be haunted until then!
A new poll is up. However, there has been an error with Google lately, so it may or may not show up. Please check back often to see if it is up and working again. I apologize for the delay.
A Day at the Pool
I am SO tired now. And, even though I put on sun screen, I still have a little bit of a sunburn on my face. The sunscreen must have washed off in the water.
While we were there, we went to the snack line to get something. I got a churro! Churros are UNBELIEVABLE. SO good! (Part of the reason is because they're covered in sugar!) It's a real treat when I get one because I don't really have too many things dunked in sugar like that.
Anyway, we got home, I took a quick shower (actually there's no such thing as a quick shower in my case), and now I'm EXHAUSTED from swimming all day. My face hurts a little bit, but only if you touch it.
Now I'm worried that I'll be tan tommorrow, because I don't think I look too good with a tan. Oh well.

What a Blessing Animals Are
The light brown one had only three legs. Bless his heart! However, he was walking around with his tail wagging and couldn't have been a happier dog. If he fell for a split second, he would just get back up, forget it never happened, and keep walking with a bright face.
This is a perfect example of showing how animals are so resilient. They can move on easily and still enjoy life, something that most humans need to work on.
Another thing: Animals are never self conscious about themselves. They don't care what other people think. It's almost as if they believe that it's what's on the inside that counts. That little chihuahua looked like he was living the moment as best as he could, almost as if he didn't even know he was missing a leg. He didn't care what other people thought. He would just look up at them and wag his tail with a happy dog face.
You see how lucky we are to have the animals that we do? So, why do people get aggrivated at animals if they do something wrong? You might see people mistreating their dog if the dog doesn't do something on command. There is no such thing as bad dogs. Just bad owners.
A dog is just being a dog. So, why get mad at him for doing his instincts? A dog doesn't know any better unless you teach him with patience. Key word: Patience.
Animals are so peaceful and beautiful. And if we are so lucky to have animals, why do some people mistreat them?
Put a stop to animal cruelty NOW. And help to protect wildlife.

Petco's Meet-n-Greet
So, my mom and I got to hold a guinea pig!
When we first walked in, we saw some dogs getting their pictures taken professionally with a white screen and a photographer. There were a lot of cute dogs there, and we got to look at some of the pictures taken...they had come out great!
Then we went over to the cages where the guinea pigs were and asked an employee if we could hold one. She opened up the cage and picked him up to let us pet him. She brought up a chair for me to hold him. He sat in my lap and tried to chew my bracelet! :)
He was a smoothed-hair guinea pig with a cute pointy nose. His fur was a speckled light shade of brown, and he had the cutest little feet!
Later, we saw him chewing on another guinea pig's fur. The other guinea pig did NOT like that, so he ran away from him! It was so cute!
I love piggies! :)
Here's the DEAL:
I thought the orange was just a tad bright for my blog, though I did enjoy it. I wanted a more subdued theme to the blog.
My dad said it hurt his eyes. However, I did recieve another comment from a friend of mine who said she liked it because orange was her favorite color. So, here's the deal.
I can use both! I'll keep the layout that my blog has now for "Ally's Perspective," and I'll apply the orange template to my guinea pig's blog. How does that sound?
In case you don't know how to get to my guinea pig's blog, here's the link:
www.webmasterpiggy.blogspot.com
I'll also move the link down to the feature "Cool Links to Check Out" down below off to the side.
This way everyone wins!

New Layout!
I changed the background and all the colors! We'll see how this goes for a while.
Everything else is still the same. My posts are all still here, and all of the extra features off to the side are still the same.
Leave comments to let me know if you like the new layout. Please tell me if you want me to choose another one or not.
Unfortunately, I don't think I can go back to the other one with all the dots. For some reason, the old templates are gone, and now there are just new ones. Oh, well. I think this looks pretty cool.
Let me know what you think!

Hot and Humid, but Totally Worth It!
And since we went in mid-day, it was ESPECIALLY hot because the sun was directly above us.
Well, after biking for a really long time, we went to this cute little coffee shop to get something to eat.
We got snicker-doodle ice cream and chocolate eclair! It was incredible! The ice cream had chunks of soft cookie, and the chocolate eclair was creamy and soft. It was to die for!
Sure, it was miserable to ride in such heat, but believe me...it was TOTALLY worth it!
Opposite Gender Poll Results
6 votes for yes...5 votes for no.
For a while it was going half-and-half. Yes ended up winning, obviously!
I didn't vote (I never do), but if I did, I would have voted for yes. But I'd only be a guy for ONE day. I think I'd probably miss my old self after a day.
A new poll is coming soon!

Funniest Music Video EVER!
Here's the link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AJmKkU5POA
I also posted the link under my feature down below called "Cool Links to Check Out"
See the video!! It's so funny! Get this...it takes place in a grocery store, and...oh, what the heck... just see it!
Last Day of SCHOOL!
I am officially off for the summer.
The only bad thing about yesterday was paying that fine for The Giver. 12 bucks right out of my pocket. Actually, more like my purse, but you've got my point.
Yesterday was awesome! My gym teacher played the electric guitar and SANG for us! He's awesome at it. The best part is...my friends and I have been waiting to hear him sing for the WHOLE school year! And it FINALLY happened!
After school, I went to lunch at my favorite restaurant: Sweet Tomatoes...yes, that's the name of the restaurant...it's not a grocery store.
And, today, my friend Gabie is sleeping over at my house. So, that'll be fun...:)
Thanks for stoppin' by!

Givin' My Hopes Up...
Well, the book my choir teacher found wasn't mine. So, book is still missing.
But it gets worse. Yes, I'm going to have to pay for the book, but instead of paying five dollars it's 12 dollars!!! Eesh.
WHERE COULD THAT BOOK BE?????????? Tomorrow's my last day, so I doubt that I'll find it. We even had to clean out our lockers today...and it wasn't there!!!
Cereal Poll Results
When making a bowl of cereal which do you pour in first? A. The milk...B. The cereal...or C. Neither, I don't make bowls of cereal.
13 people voted! Boo-yah! And cereal won...with 13 votes.
No one voted for choice A or C...just as I figured. I've never poured the milk in first either...except when I was REALLY tired and didn't know where the heck my place was in life. I think that was the same morning I bumped into a wall...but that's beside the point.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with pouring milk in first. There is nothing wrong with being different. In fact, there's a little saying that goes, "You laugh at me cuz I'm different. I laugh at you cuz you're all the same!"
Check back for the next poll!!!!

Could it Be?
Anyway, my Language Arts teacher - I don't know how - called yesterday and talked to my mom.
My teacher said that my choir teacher found a book in the hallway near his classroom. (which is where I thought it might be considering I go to his class after language arts.)
My choir teacher doesn't remember what book it was, but he returned it to the library. I have my fingers crossed! Maybe I won't be paying for the book after all!
Could it be? The Giver has been found???
(Also, I know this is besides the point, but PLEASE scroll down to follow the SmorgShow Podcast on Twitter!)

The Giver - Where are You?
In Language Arts, we have been reading a book called The Giver. Well, just this morning I realized IT'S MISSING! Where are you, The Giver???
Hopefully I'll find it before Wednesday, our last day of school. Or else I'm going to be forking over five bucks... :(

Dessert Party and NEW FEATURES added!
Well, at my lunch table, all of my friends and I have agreed to have a dessert party on the second to last day of school! (The last day is only 3 hours, so it wouldn't work then.)
I am going to bring in blizzard oreos which are really good, so if ya haven't tried them yet, then you're missing out. TRY THEM! They're ordinary oreos with chocolate cookie pieces in the cream.
Also, I have added some more features to my blog. Like, if you scroll down to the VERY bottom off the blog, you see some notes I've added.
I've also included "Puppy Pic of the Day" featuring a new picture of an adorable puppy every day. (Note: I don't update the picture. It changes automaticially every day. So even I'M surprised when I see them.)
And, don't miss the pic of the world's smallest horse off to the side too. IT'S NOT A COAX! It's real.
Thanks for stopping by!

More Useful Item Poll Results
Paper won first place with 8 votes. To my surprise, Rock won SECOND place...with 2 votes. And, scissors, surprisingly, won last place.
People who voted are making me wonder how in the world a rock is more useful than scissors.
Either way, I am really glad you people out there voted. I am getting lots of votes each time! (Part of it is because I have been advertising it on the SmorgShow Podcast.) Anyway...THANKS!
Also, check back for the new poll!

Ugh...EXHAUSTED!!!
We crossed a creek that had stones to walk along to the other side. Our feet got DRENCHED.
My socks and shoes were on for a pretty long time, and as I was walking I just kept hearing squish, squish, squish... When I finally took them off in the car, my feet looked like prunes :P which is why I had to get in the shower for the second time today...
Anyway, after the hike, we went to some diner for dinner...
Get this...
My family was probably the youngest people there! Everyone at the diner was like in their 70's...until some little boy that looked about five or six walked in with his grandparents...HIS GRANDMA KEPT YELLING AT HIM!!!
I got a stack of chocolate pancakes, bacon, and sausage. Boy, did that hit the spot! I'm so FULL!
This Weekend
So, check back on that.
In the meantime...

WHY???
Hard Core, huh?
My mom, dad, and I were in the car, and we decided to get out after pulling off to the side of the road to look for a geocache (which is a treasure hunting thing with a GPS.)
Anyway, there were no cars on the road we were near what so ever. I thought it'd be cool to just jump around in the middle of the road and just run back and forth across the road. Then, I just lay down in the dead center of the road and watched the clouds, still making sure no cars were coming.
Well, my mom thought that was cool, so SHE DID IT TOO!!!
My dad just kind of gave us the "um...okay?" kind of look.
It was funny because right after we got in the car, that's when all of the cars came driving down the road we were laying on.
I'M HARD CORE! YOU DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH MEEEEEEE!!! Ha!

To my surprise, lyrics had the most votes. (I personally would have voted for music.)

That's AWESOME!

Who Done It?
Who Done It? Who Done It?
Who ate the last cake?
Who Done It? Who Done It?
Who stole my best rake?
Who Done It? Who Done It?
Have I gone MAD?
Who Done It? Who Done It?
Oh, this is BAD!
Bear with me guys...at least it rhymes!!!!
So, I wrote this in fourth grade like I said. It was part of some poetry project we were doing.
Anyway, I let this kid that sat next to me read my poem. I told him he could read it as long as he doesn't copy it.
So what does he do? Copies it. Of course.
I'm like, "I told you not to copy my poem!" And then he's like, "I didn't."
Yeah. Sure you didn't:
Who Took It? Who Took It?
Who took my enchiladas?
Who Took It? Who Took It?
Who took my favorite soap?
Who Took It? Who Took It?
Who took my pet fish?
Wait, I think I've gone mad!
Yeah, sure. Your poem is NOTHING like mine.
Then it got published in our home made class' poetry book.
And the worst thing is, he sits next to me in one of my classes NOW. Boy is he gonna get it!!! lol
So, now every time I come across his poem, I THINK I'VE GONE MAD!!!

We have gotten a lot of feedback that people loved our last old radio play/skit. And since people really liked it, we did another one! It's called "On a Country Road" and is VERY suspenseful. (Some scenes will make you JUMP.) eek!
So, check it out!
Also don't forget the number (312)-95-SMORG ... leave a message, and we'll play it on the show!!!
P.S. - Lot's of people have been asking "Why is your show called 'SmorgShow?' What is a 'Smorg?'"
See, we named it smorg like a smorgasbord...(you know, a variety of foods.) And, our show is like a smorgasbord because we do a variety of things on the show. Get it?
So, that's just a little sneak peak behind the name! Hope that answers your question. :)

I don't know if someone spread the word or something about my blog, but either way, THANK YOU!!! Continue to spread the word!
Make sure you vote on the poll if you already haven't.

All two people voted for "an actor/actress who sings."
As you can see I have a new poll up. It is "A waiter messes up your order but is very apologetic. Do you give a...low tip, regular tip, or high tip?"
Keep on voting! Thanks guys!

Literary Festival
So, on Tuesday (April 20, 2010), I took a bus along with other students from my school who entered a piece. (I had to miss some of art, geography, gym, and science.) We rode to a highschool auditorium where I saw my language arts teacher interview an author named Steve Mandell. Anyway, when it was time to announce the winners of the writing contest, the judges explained what all the different catergories were. THEN the winners were announced...
Well, guess what? I WON FIRST PLACE!!!! (a.k.a I was a "Critic's Choice Winner" and had "outstanding writing" apparently. At least that's what it said on the certificate.)
Yep, that's right. I won first place for best short fiction for my grade level. Because I won, I was given a blue ribbon, a certificate (like I said), and a gift card to Borders. I also got my name and my story published in a bound book filled with all the other winners. This book was given to classrooms all around the SCHOOL DISTRICT! I got my picture taken as well. I was shocked because when I walking into the auditorium, I kept telling myself that I knew I wasn't going to win anything. I mean what were the odds of THAT? But I DID win!!! YAY ME!
When we returned to my school, everyone from my school who entered got to have cake and lunch to celebrate! And when I went to Language Arts that afternoon, my teacher read my story aloud to my class, and all of my classmates got to interview me! It was so cool!
I fell asleep that night with a smile on my face! 8D!

Favorite Movie Snack Poll Results
It was "What is the Best Movie Snack?" Popcorn, candy, nachos, or none?
2 people voted for popcorn as their fave snack, and 2 people voted for candy.
I just wanna say thanks for voting! I really appreciate it, guys!
As you can see, a new poll is up, called "Which do you do more often?" so make sure you take a look at it.
I also will create a new post at the end of every poll to discuss the results. Keep in mind, I don't vote. I just watch.
Thanks again!!!! :)
Happy Easter!
Make it a great one! :) :) :)
Babysitting
They were over at my house when I babysat them, and when they first entered the house, they were looking at me with such wide, timid, eyes. I was even more nervous and speechless. Words wouldn't come out, and I didn't know what to say!!!
I had donuts out to keep them entertained for the first few minutes. After a couple seconds, Jake became chatty, and I knew right away that we wouldn't be just standing there looking at each other the whole time.
Eventually, after Mia and Joseph saw their brother talking, they began to talk as well. Turns out, all three were really great kids. We ended up playing Twister and Ping-Pong in my basement. They LOVED it. Absolutely LOVED it!
We also played outside where we played Freeze Tag, jumped rope, and just hung out. Jake ended up REALLY liking a small toy that he had found in the garage. I had forgotten about it. He was addicted to it.
Mia and Joseph kept getting scratched up, so I had to tell them to wash it out...blah blah blah. They were really cute. I felt bad for them, and it was hard to see them so upset and hurt. Jake was very chatty, and it was really fun talking to him. He had some interesting conversations he wanted to have with me.
When they finally had to leave, Jake was SO upset. He didn't want to leave which was very funny because his mom had said he didn't want to come over because he was afraid he wouldn't have fun. And NOW look at him! He wanted to stay and keep playing games. He loved that toy he found, so I told him he could keep it, and he was SO grateful and appreciative. I waved goodbye when they finally drove away, and they did too.
I learned a lot from those kids, had so much fun, and made them happy too. I was afraid they wouldn't like me, but guess what? THEY DID.
This is dedicated to Mia, Jake, and Joseph! GLAD YOU HAD FUN!!! (I don't even know if you're reading this...) :)

Spring Break
Spring also means that's spring break is here! I am off from school all of this week. The thing that is kind of strange though is that the town about a mile from here isn't off on spring break. I was in Aeropostale and was the only kid there since that town still has school. (They are off next week.)
The bad thing about being off from school now is that there isn't anything good on TV during the day because most kids are at school.
However, I get to tease the kids on school buses that go by. (Ha ha I'm off from school and you're not!!!) Of course they'll be doing that to me when they're off. Oh well. I'll just enjoy break while it lasts!
