The Wall

(This is the logo on my dad's t-shirt he got as a souvenir!)
Went to a concert last night with my mom, dad, and grandparents. It was "The Wall Tour" (which is now just Roger Waters from Pink Floyd.) We got great seats...it was sort of like a balcony, and we didn't have anyone in front of us except for people down below (maybe a five foot drop). For those of you who don't know, "The Wall" has its own story. Roger Waters plays the songs and it goes along with videos that are projected on a huge white brick wall.
During one point of the show there were fireworks shooting out from the stage which was so cool! Now, I have to say it was kinda hard to follow, because I don't really know the music too well, so I don't know the story all that much. This is probably why I thought most of the story was a little bit strange. It's hard to figure things out when you're sitting there watching a bunch of walking hammers and mosquitoes on the wall with a bunch of music. :)
There was an inflatable pig they released from behind the stage...I knew that was going to happen because the pig is the most famous part of the whole concert. Let me just say, he's so cool! Here's a picture of the pig... he wasn't the cutest little guy if you know what I mean...

So Sorry!
I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been so caught up in homework, school, and play rehearsals.
Anyway, please look at the poll, the new quote of the week, and the new riddle because now that I am posting again, I have updated everything! Try to guess the riddle while you're at it...don't just look at it... :)
Please keep coming back to Ally's Perspective! And remember to be clickin' around! (By the way, Happy Elephant Appreciation Day!)

Desserts Poll Results
My poll that had the question "What's your favorite dessert?" has results! (Sorry it took a while.)
In this poll, you were allowed to choose multiple answers. 5 people voted...and here are the results:
Brownies 40%
Cake 20%
Pie 20%
Cookies 60%
Ice Cream 60%
Candy 40%
Cobler 0%
Other 40%
None 0%
My favorite is a chocolate dip cone, so ice cream is the closest to it on that list...but since it's just plain ice cream that's one of the choices...I would probably choose cookies or brownies...
Stay tuned for the next poll!!! And don't forget to try to answer the riddle...third feature down off to the right side of the screen!

9/11
(New Riddle and Quote posted)
I'm not really sure how to start this post. I shouldn't make it sound happy, and I want to grip your attention and be sure to remember the loved ones lost. I guess I'll just see how this works out.
On 9/11/2001, everyone thought it was an accident for the first time when they saw some sort of a flying vehicle crashing into the buildings. But once that second plane went through the buildings, that's when everyone knew we were under attack; that's when the worst day of the 21st Century was born.
I just want to say that my heart goes out to all of those who have lost loved ones in the crash of the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001. This is a day of remembering them, and being grateful for not being someone who was in the building when it happened.
Prayers are being said, flags are being half raised, and moments of silences are being created. We are America. We are one, and those who were killed are worth being remembered.

2 PARTS IN THE PLAY!
Like I said in a recent post, I tried out for the fall play. For the fall play this year, there are three short plays...all parodies, I believe. Well, the cast list was posted yesterday, and I got 2 parts! One part in two plays...
My first part is the narrator, so I get to narrate a whole story...Little Miss Muffet, I think. My second part is a dwarf! I don't get this at all because the play I'm in as a dwarf is Little Red Riding Hood. Last time I checked, there was not a dwarf in Little Red Riding Hood. But, I'll see how it goes. Rehearsal's tomorrow.
I think two parts is the most someone can get. The reason is you need some time to change costumes. See, I don't have a part in the second play, just the first and third so I can have enough time to change outfits.
I'm really excited. I'm going to be staying after school everyday for about an hour. The play is the day right before the Brian Regan concert we got tickets to--whew! Barely made it! Can't wait!!!!

Favorite Meal Poll Results
Dinner had the most votes with 2 and Lunch followed with 1. I'm surprised that few people voted. This is the least it's been in a while. But now that school has started up, things have gotten crazy, so I totally understand.
Anyway, those were the results for the question, "What's your favorite meal of the day?" out of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I would have chosen lunch because I believe lunch has the widest variety of food choices. I suppose dinner's like that too, but I get to MAKE my own lunch so I can have whatever I want!
Stay tuned for the new poll, and don't forget to guess the answer to the riddle!!!! :))))))

Birthday Party & Play Try-Outs
(FYI: New riddle and new quote posted)
Friday was a busy day. Went to a b-day party on Friday and had play try-outs.
At the party: Ate pizza, talked, ate cake, and watched a movie. The cake was so cute, too. It was white with edible polka dots...and inside: Vanilla Mousse with caramel! Yum!
We watched Camp Rock 2. It was alright...
It was a sleepover party, but I couldn't stay overnight because of the dog. Stupid allergies... :(
But it was fun! Happy Birthday, Jenna!
Friday was also the day of play auditions. I read some lines on the stage, and afterwards, they called some people up to do improv. I was in the improv! I had to pretend I was a passenger on a plane that was moving around as turbulation freaked me out...I pretended to sob like crazy and acted like it was the end of my life...everyone was laughing!
Can't wait for Tuesday...that's when I find out if I got a part in the Fall Play or not...WISH ME LUCK!!!!

Saving a Baby Cardinal
My mom and I prevented a baby bird from becoming a pancake.
First, let me just say, my mom and I have been saving quite a few animals lately. Like that turtle I had told you about in an earlier post... Well, yesterday, we saved a baby cardinal!
We were getting out of the car in a parking lot, and we saw a mama cardinal feeding a baby. The mom flew away to find more food, and the baby bird was left there. He was getting pretty close to the road.
So after we ran the errand, we came out to the parking lot again and saw the baby bird IN THE ROAD.
We ran over to save him! I grabbed a stick and tried to make him jump onto it, but that wasn't working. We kept trying to save him, but he kept inching closer to the middle of the road...and cars were driving by! We guided him to the side, and in the process, a car started to stop. I looked at the car, and in it was my science teacher from last year, waving to me!
Somehow we got the baby bird into the grass where I was about two inches from stepping on another baby bird! I didn't see him right away! Luckily I didn't smash him...Anyway, as we were about to drive away, the baby that had been in the road was heading towards the road again! We did the same thing, said a prayer, and drove away, feeling great that we saved him!
The two baby birds we saw were way to young to be out of the nest. They still had bald spots under their feathers! But they were SO cute... Here is EXACTLY what he looked like:
